This area is used to record country of producing entity for unreleased archival films and performing arts documentation particularly when items are produced in countries other than the U.S.

3C1. Record the name of the country only. Do not name cities, counties, states, etc.

3C2. [LC AMIM RI (Rule interpretation) 3C2.] Record the complete name of the country, except for the following countries; for these, the listed standard abbreviations may be used:

3C7. Record the names of countries in English.

3C8. For international co-productions, record the names of the countries of co-production in the order in which the work was released in those countries.
