Choreographing Your Search Dance Collection, New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Harvard University (HOLLIS) The Harvard Theatre Collection also contains dance resources. Finding aids to some of the collections are available as part of the Dance Heritage Coalition Finding Aids. Other collections may be searched using OASIS, Harvard's Online Archival Search Information System for archival and manuscript collections at Harvard and at Radcliffe College. Many Harvard Theatre Collection resources are listed in HOLLIS Web. To search in Hollis Web, click on Union Catalog of the Harvard Libraries, when you reach the Harvard OnLine Library Information System screen. Then follow Harvard's online search instructions. The screens below show a search for Petipa, Marius as author. Review the steps below, and then repeat them online to practice using HOLLIS Web. While the two different forms of Petipa's name may seem confusing at first, a click shows that all the entries for Petipa are in fact displayed, and that the version of his name with Ivanovich is in fact only a cross reference:  Click on the example to see it in a new window. If you click on number 12, festin costume design..., the catalog record for the item will appear, and you can determine if the design will be helpful to your research, or store the informaton to be e-mailed later.
